Purpose and Scope
The Gideon Education & Training team is responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of content intended to equip today’s Christian business and professional men. The Senior Manager will support the Director ensure the services and products delivered reinforce the vision of The Association and its ideals of balancing spiritual preparation and practical ministry through The Gideons International.
The Senior Manager will supervise a small team responsible for either managing events or for the production of all creative assets (depending on the qualifications of the candidate). In either case the Senior Manager actively manages a portfolio of work, optimizes associated workflow strategies, and utilizes standard business processes to maintain our reputation of excellent output.
Essential Job Functions
Manages and supervises personnel
Leads team members to mature both professionally and spiritually.
Leads team member to optimize production flow, velocity, quality and delivery of products or services
Collaborates with the Member Engagement team and clients to keep products & project efforts in line with overall brand strategy.
Develop a monthly production report that communicates resource utilization to executive leadership.
Consults with clients to document clear objectives and outcomes and ensure alignment with organization goals and strategies.
Assigns staff to each work request as workloads, employee skills and project needs dictate.
Manages project and operational budgets.
Assists with prioritizing, planning, resourcing, and scheduling department activities.
Ensures cross-functional success with all divisions.
Manages consistency of materials, messaging, and brand integrity.
Working Relationships
Reports To: Director, Gideon Education and Training
People Management Responsibility: Varies based on candidate qualifications but may include Video Producers, Instructional and Curriculum Designers, Event Planners, and/or Program Managers
Works Closely With: Editorial/Content Team, Graphic Designers, Headquarters Leadership

Must be proficient with basic project management, including scheduling, estimating & organizational skills.
Proficiency in managing multiple projects.
Proven effectiveness as a leader of people.
Proven effectiveness in process optimization
Must have excellent written and oral skills and can communicate with all levels of management.
Basic understanding of the production process and workflow.
Collaboration and negotiation skills.
Can objectively review work (including self) and gets results from the team.

Minimum Qualifications
Member of The Gideons International including a thorough understanding of The Gideons International, present and past; including the dynamics at international headquarters.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
6 (or more) years of experience building and leading teams.
Proven people management skills.
Successful completion of a drug and background screen.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using both Microsoft and Mac platforms including Adobe Creative Cloud (Creative Suite), Keynote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Public Relations best practice understanding, and experience is desirable.
Experience on a Gideon state or country leadership team.
