Purpose and Scope

The Information Technology Intern is responsible for assisting with a variety of responsibilities in the IT department, including laptop/desktop/phone/server/network support and audio/visual equipment support in conference areas.  This role would also assist in staging new laptops for our employees. The overarching goal is to provide technology support experience for anyone going into an information technology career.   
Essential Job Functions

Manage daily support queue for resolving issues with staff laptops, phones, and conference room equipment for headquarter staff.
Install software and test operation of new equipment for headquarter staff.
Resolve technical issues with local area network and wireless infrastructure.
Resolve printer issues throughout the headquarters.
Assist our Infrastructure Service Manager on maintenance of our datacenter components when required.

Ability to install and test widely-used software applications on Windows and Mac operating systems.
Ability to learn and resolve network and wired/wireless issues within the Headquarters.
Ability to assist customers in the use of technology equipment, software, printers, and phone systems.
Ability to provide analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with all TGI Departments.

Physical
Ability to lift 25lbs in unpacking/packing computer equipment.
Ability to be onsite at the TGI headquarters 5 days a week from 8-12.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in process in Information Technology or Computer Science related field
PC experience, Wired/Wireless Network experience, Ability to install/test software on Windows/Mac laptops.
Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Mature, responsible, driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Successful completion of a drug and background screen
