Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
At least 10-15 years of demonstrated global leadership and management experience in information technology and digital solutions, mostly in leadership roles with global organizations.
Led ERP system implementation in a Global environment.
Demonstrable passion for The Gideons International mission with an absolute commitment to maintain above reproach ethical standards and Christ-like integrity.
Successful completion of a drug and background screen

A Gideon member in good standing with State Association Leadership Team experience.

The Gideons International has an ambitious digital transformation goal to prepare our organization and our people for the demands of the future. We are looking for a dynamic Senior Director, to lead our global information technology strategy and implementation of our enterprise application system. You will lead and mature our IT strategy, including the cyber security and responsible data management, analytics and business intelligence, and ensure that all systems and services necessary to support its operations, goals and objectives are in place. The Senior Director will report to the Executive Director and will be serving as a key member of the International Headquarters Leadership Team. Primary outcomes are to implement the policies, procedures, and programs of the International Cabinet; to provide the necessary information and digital capabilities that enable staff, field operations, ministry leaders, and global members to accomplish ministry goals; and, to utilize technology and digital capability to inspire members to fulfill God’s call.

Spiritual Leadership

Operations Planning and Management
Primary strategist with the Executive Director, the Chief Financial Officer, and the International Executive Committee in developing the strategic information technology platform and digital services plan to ensure the global ministry meets or exceeds its goals.
Develop and execute an Information Technology and Digital Services plan which incorporates goals, objectives, and deployment of initiatives that work to achieve the strategic direction of the Association.
Ensure that the operation of the Information Technology Division meets expectations and inspires members and staff.
Provide management process and oversight for the Information Technology Division, leading towards the achievement or exceeding the association’s strategic plan.
Influence the strategic initiatives and international program enhancements to ensure new initiatives and program enhancements optimize the utilization of information technology, digital services, and analytics.
Collaborate with other Leadership Team members to ensure effective delivery and deployment of strategic initiatives and international program enhancements.
Monitor the day-to-day delivery of the Information Technology Division to consistently improve quality and inspire the staff and members.
Provide the Leadership Team with comprehensive, regular reports on the performance of the Information Technology Division and the efforts to help the ministry achieve the strategic plan and goals.
Customer Management
Identifies staff, ministry leaders, members, and non-member “customers” of the Information Technology team.
Ensures clarity in understanding the customer requirements, needs, and possibilities for information, digital, and analytics solutions.
Manages customer expectations for on-time delivery and ensures ongoing support meets customer requirements.
Human Resources Planning and Management
Work with the Senior Director, Human Resources, and the Leadership Team to achieve and sustain a Christ-centered, flourishing organizational culture which attracts, retains, motivates and develops a diverse staff of top-quality talent. Ensure the Information Technology Division recruits, interviews and selects the right staff who bring the head and heart together to achieve Christ-centered excellence through their technical and personal abilities to further the mission.
Determine workforce requirements for the Division.
Oversee the implementation of human resources policies, procedures and practices including clarity around the work responsibilities for Information Technology Division staff.
Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.
Manage performance of division staff, ensuring clarity in objectives, results against those objectives, and behavior are factored into performance assessment.
Develop talent to meet ministry needs for future leadership, utilizing a combination of formal training, mentoring, and job responsibilities
Financial Planning and Management
Prepare long-term and annual business plan for the division which achieves the annual and long-term goals of the ministry.
Manage division financial performance to achieve annual financial budget or approved adjustments during the year.
Information and Digital Architecture Management
Provides leadership in understanding the global information and digital services needs of the staff and the ministry.
Leads the development of a global information, digital, and analytics architecture that provides flexibility for future technology improvements while meeting the strategic and current needs of the ministry.
Ensures current and new solutions map to the architecture, enforcing discipline to the architecture, while ensuring short-, medium-, and long-term needs are met.
Other Essential Functions
Carry out responsibilities at International Convention as needed
Supply news items of national and international interest to Editorial Department
Represent the ministry at industry, Association, and community activities to continually develop the organization’s profile.
