Purpose and Scope

The successful digital media coordinator works proactively in a fast-paced environment, with a creative team, to develop and deploy valuable content for email, web, and social media channels. As a leader in web development and user experience, the purpose of this role is to produce top-quality, engaging assets for the digital space. The digital media coordinator also ensures members and ministry partners are experiencing a consistent brand of The Gideons International across all digital media.

Essential Job Functions

Refresh layout of public website through updated designs, new features, and content that meets needs of target audiences. Make minor adjustments to public and ancillary sites, as needed.
Actively manages SEO of public and ancillary sites.
Working closely with copy writers and designers, complete website updates as needed and maintain a regular schedule of social media posts.
Control and manage the look and feel across all digital channels (email, web, and social media) to deliver a consistent brand.
Ensure that all design elements, templates, and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings according to the parameters established by management.
Create multiple design comps within an established period of time.
Participate in collaborative efforts to improve the quality of websites and other digital media.
Creates, edits, and deploys email surveys
Execute HTML layout, testing, and deployment of all emails and ensure audience segmentation is correct.
Working closely with the editorial manager and traffic coordinator, facilitate the deployment of branded emails in a timely and coordinated manner.
Proven experience with enterprise-level email deployment and responsive web design using HTML and CSS
Provide email performance data to project managers and owners, as needed. And, explain how the data may influence current and future emails.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Training & Development

Non-Physical

Thorough understanding of the creative process
Proficiency in adhering to a production schedule
Advanced knowledge of web standards and best practices, including new and emerging standards such as HTML5, and CSS3
Knowledgeable and experienced with SEO optimization
Experience with Delivra (Campaign Monitor or Emma) or comparable platforms—Mail Chimp, HubSpot, Real Magnet, or similar
Knowledge of and experience with SurveyMonkey
Collaboration and negotiation skills
Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other trafficking software
Experience with InDesign and Dreamweaver CC
Experience with the MAC platform

Minimum Qualifications

4-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Proficient with Mac platform and Adobe Creative Cloud suite
Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite
Successful completion of a drug and background screen

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of Gideon policies, procedures, and organizational structure
Superior editing and proofreading skills
Ability to travel as necessary
