We’re making plans to welcome a Payroll, Benefits and Compensation Manager to lead our Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation disciplines. Join our dynamic Human Resources (HR) Team and be the “go-to” contributor in planning, analysis, implementation, and administration of our Total Rewards Programs. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Human Resources, you will oversee and be responsible for planning and maintaining accurate master data in the payroll/HRIS platform, employee benefits, and compensation areas as well as leveraging these systems to increase operational efficiencies and communication within the Human Resources Division and throughout the organization.

EXPECTATIONS:

Establish objectives, goals, and priorities in conjunction with the Senior Director of Human Resources for increasing the organization’s use of the Paycor solutions platform to support strategic initiatives including a more robust HRIS system.

Optimize the use of technology and develop tools and communication campaigns to automate transactional HR activity throughout the organization.

Develop, manage, and lead ongoing HR data, metrics and reporting strategy to support decision making.

Payroll

Ensure payroll is processed and delivered consistently in an accurate, timely and compliant manner for over 130 corporate employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws for all hourly and salaried employees.

Provide Accounting with timely and accurate general ledger entries.

Reconcile appropriate accounts each payroll or as necessary.

Process statutory reporting and compliance filing(s) to ensure accuracy, compliance and timeliness. This includes garnishments, payroll taxes, and W2’s and ACA filings.

Assist with the payroll related administration of our 401(k) and other plans such as life Insurance, STD, LTD, HSA, and FSA. This includes reconciliation and provision of department allocations to Finance.

Assist Finance in the compensation budget preparation by providing and verifying needed data.

Ensure the organization’s pay practices comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Benefits & Wellness

Administer and develop communication campaigns for all benefits programs (retirement plans, wellness programs, insurance policies, etc.)

Research, analyze and recommend Total Rewards /benefits plans, programs, policies and enhancements that are appropriate.

Collaborate with the Senior Director of Human resources and benefits broker to develop open enrollment criteria. Assist with recommendations based on data analysis.

Monitor government regulations, legislation, and benefits trends and insure compliance in all areas i.e., ACA.

Manage the open enrollment, renewal, and communication processes.

Ensure all billing is verified for accuracy before payment is approved.

Research, analyze and recommend Wellness initiatives in collaboration with our thirty-party provider and our Senior Director of Human Resources.

Compensation and Analysis

Assess the organization’s pay structure.

Research compensation trends and respond/ reviewing compensation surveys in collaboration with the Senior Director of Human Resources.

Complete and recommend salaries by assisting as necessary with job analysis and description review, determining position classifications, in accordance with our third-party compensation consultants.

Evaluate and communicate our compensation policies and annual review through training.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or closely related experience and/or training in Payroll, Benefits and Compensation with a demonstrated level of increasing responsibility and complexity; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 to 7 years’ experience with payroll and benefits administration/management preferably in a 501(c) (3) organization
Strong analytical skills, highly articulate, and credible communicator.
Successful completion of a credit check, drug and background screen.
Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Payroll Applications (Prefer Paycor).
HRIS
Strong sense of personal accountability and self-motivation, with a strong customer orientation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) through the American Payroll Association
