Purpose and Scope
The Director, International Outreach, Field Operations will direct, manage and motivate assigned Regional Directors and work alongside the International Director, Operations to achieve specific operational initiatives by improving, developing, implementing and carrying out a strategic plan for the International Outreach Ministry.

Essential Job Functions
Work with International Directors and Chief Operations Officer, as well as other divisions to develop and implement strategic plans to increase church ministry, membership and Scripture distribution
Direct, manage and develop specified Regional Directors through Performance Management process
Work with Human Resources to hire Regional Directors, National Directors, Associate National Directors, and Field Representatives
Provide direction for setting goals and objectives for Regional Directors
Administer wage and salary increases for Regional Directors
Facilitate communications between International Headquarters and international outreach personnel
Facilitate correspondence relating to the international outreach utilizing assigned Regional Directors
Direct management of approved ministry programs and processes through the Regional Directors
Train Regional Directors, National Leadership Teams and key personnel as needed
Facilitate the discovery and review of best practices (programs and processes)
Collaborate with International Directors and Finance Division to draft annual division budget
Manage and control expenses within budget through the annual budget process
Collaborate in developing training materials
Participate in special International Headquarters projects as requested
Possess a strong understanding of international business regulations
Supervise annual renewal of membership for assigned International Outreach regions
Record minutes of all regional/country meetings
Submit appropriate reports for International Outreach Committee prior to meetings
Assist International Outreach Division in maintaining historical record of new countries organized
Other duties as assigned

Other Essential Functions
Carry out responsibilities at International Convention as requested
Supply news items of national and international interest to Editorial Department

Working Relationships
Reports To: Chief Operations Officer
People Management Responsibility: Regional Directors
Works Closely With: International Outreach Division, International Directors, Regional Directors, National Leadership Teams, International Outreach Zone Coordinators, Trainers and Camps

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Training & Development
Able to follow verbal and written instructions
Possess leadership and analytical skills
Proven ability to remotely manage others successfully
Ability to use PC and widely-used software applications, especially Microsoft Office applications
Ability to produce results oriented SMART action plans
Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff, membership and external stake holders

Minimum Qualifications
A member in good standing of The Gideons International
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Five to seven years of sales, field work or management experience or equivalent work experience
PC experience, especially in Microsoft Office applications
Successful completion of a drug and background screen

Preferred Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Multi-lingual a plus, especially in Spanish

The division is responsible for day-to-day management of the work in international outreach countries and administration of the international outreach budget. Our main objective is to inspire our members to fulfill their call by equipping and training our leaders in more than 180 countries, possession, and territories.
