Responsible for assisting the Camp Accounting department in handling USA State and Camp financial matters plus management and liquidation of non-cash assets donated to the association. The goal is to build and maintain an exceptional Camp Accounting database with great integrity of data and provide an exceptional level of customer service to Camp and State officers.
Essential Job Functions
Handle processing of camp remittances and other camp data
Maintain orderly processing and posting of camp Scripture fund remittance batches.
Research questions from camp and state officers regarding camp accounting reporting and transactions providing explanation or resolution.
Promptly assist camp and state treasurers with electronic remittance issues. This may include items such as refunds of overpayments and resolution of unsuccessful transactions.
Assist in records handling process including storage of camp banking activity reports and bank statements. Assist in purging records according to retention plan.
Assist Camp and State officers
Provide assistance in all aspects of Camp Banking Activity Reporting by working with State Treasurers, Camp Banking Assistants, and Camp Treasurers.
Investigate matters pertaining to camp funds for internal or external inquiries.
Investigate matters pertaining to camp transactions for inter-office inquiries and in preparation for answering correspondence.
Prepare and or assist with preparation of monthly and periodic statistical reports
Assist in preparation of monthly World Reports, State Association Summaries, and Camp Reports and confirm proper posting to website.
Assist in preparation of Four Year Comparative Reports of members, funds and scriptures.
Maintain and prepare accurate reports for various Scripture Fund balances.
Prepare or coordinate special reports and charts for Finance Committee, Cabinet meetings, Presidents and Program conferences and other times as requested.
Work with Finance Team in preparing monthly financial statements.
Manage non-cash assets donated to the Association.
Maintain files and records on non-cash assets.
Assists in determining best method of liquidation of such assets including working with attorneys and third- party experts in assets such as real estate, oil and gas property rights, etc.
Coordinate legal paper work with Chief Financial Officer.
Cross-functional and external training of Camp Accounting processes.
Provide leadership in development of inter-team communication, sustaining culture and supporting entire staff towards excellence.
Plan and implement new and on-going training to insure excellent equipping and service to the Association’s members. This may include items such as update of Camp Treasurer Manual, webinars, videos, etc.
Other Essential Functions
Work closely with other functional teams to resolve any issues related to our camps and donors.
Supply documentation to auditors and assistance for annual audit.
To add overall value to the organization and self by taking on ever-increasing responsibility, skill sets and spiritual growth.
Perform related and unrelated duties as required.

Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting or related fields preferred).
Experience in maintaining detailed records or customer service databases preferably in an Accounting Department.
Experience in training others preferred.
Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
PC experience: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with at least intermediate level in Excel.
Mature, responsible, driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Successful completion of a drug and background screen.
